More house and birthday!

Here are the latest house pictures, we now have a staircase to the second floor. I'm guessing this week we will get a roof of sorts! In the next couple weeks we will have our pre drywall walkthrough where we get to go in with the project manager and see where all the outlets are and such and take a bunch of pictures!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes and beautiful cards and gifts, I feel very blessed to have the wonderful friends and family that I do! Ian surprised me by taking me out to a nice italian restaurant in reston, va and we spent the night in a marriott suite which was lovely! (this was on saturday) then sunday he played in a tennis tournament and got fourth place. I meanwhile got sick and ended up with a fever and flu like symptoms so I stayed home from work on my birthday :( I am feeling better though so I plan to go back to work on Tuesday....must have been the 24 hour flu, for which I'm thankful it didn't last longer, it was pretty nasty!

We have two floors!

I couldn't resist driving past the house today, and look at what I found! We have a whole house!! I know this isn't the sunday picture with me in the front, but I just had to take it!!

More House

Here are the latest pictures! Everything is happening really quickly! It only took them two days to frame the whole first floor. The picture of the other townhouses is the view from the front of our house and gives you an idea of what they will look like. On monday we went for our pre construction meeting, even though they already started construction and changed a couple little things. The project manager was really nice and took us in through one of the houses they are building right now that will look like ours. It looks great, we are getting really excited!

Here are the newest pictures of the house with the concrete poured. As you can see it was really cold outside, as my mom conveniently pointed out to me it is warmer in wisconsin than here today. Oh well. I'm getting really excited to move again, if that is possible. This will be the 6th place we've lived in four years. Hopefully we will stay here longer than anywhere else!

Ian's photography show

Thought you all might like to see the invitation, even if you can't all attend the photo show that starts this Saturday! I get to go and be the proud wife :)

We are not expecting much since this is Ian's first show, but he has taken some beautiful photos, and of course we would be delighted if they sell!

We went over to our 'dirt' last night to fill out some more paperwork. They were pouring the concrete, so we got to see the foundation of our house being built :) it looks very sturdy. We also got to peek in one of our neighbor's windows and see what the living room will look like with a fireplace added into it. We put in some paperwork to do so, so it was nice to see how attractive it is.

We will post more pictures this weekend, then the house will probably sit for a week or two until all the neighbors have their pre-construction meetings complete.

I am getting really excited now!
