Scrunchy book
Its fun giving Lucy new toys and seeing that she actually has a preference. We just gave her this book and found that she really enjoys eating it. Its got foil in the pages so it makes a 'scrunchy' noise. I think its more evidence of teething maybe? Thanks Great Grandma F. for the cool book!

You looking at me?
We've been working hard at Lucy's tummy time skills, she seems to still be a bit behind for how high she should be lifting up. She doesn't always like it, which is why I took this picture, she enjoyed herself on the boppy for almost 5 minutes! It was great! Don't worry, she's ahead of the game with her feet; she can bring them up almost to her mouth and she loves to stare at them. Just today I'm pretty sure that she might be teething...she's chewing on everything, drooling like crazy and fussy. My mom told me I had a tooth at 3 mo., so we'll see.

More WI travels!
Here is a pic from Lucy's first plane ride. As you can see, she enjoyed it thoroughly. So much that she slept the whole way! It was great to have my mom fly home with us, made it much less stressful. We flew by ourselves on the way back, and besides having a grumpy flight attendant that made me take her out of the sling and wake her up, she fussed a bit and got back to sleep and did great! Hoping that we can make many more trips back home with her since she enjoyed it!
I got to go out with my friends the last night we were home, grandma thankfully babysat. It was nice to not feel like a mom for a little while! Lucy was in a habit while we were home of waking up every 2-3 hours at night so I was hoping to get out long enough to spend some quality time. Grandma called as I was pulling out of the parking lot that Lucy woke up, thankfully we were only 5 min. from home. I always have such a great time with these girls, they are the best friends I could ever ask for! Love you guys!

Lucy's party
My parents hosted a party to introduce Lucy to everyone that wanted to meet her so bad! We had a lot of people there and she did great! She even stayed up past her bedtime (EST)! The last pic here is at the cottage, we went for memorial day weekend and spent time with my mom's side of the family. Sydney was just enthralled with Lucy. She helped me change diapers and everything! We had a great time in WI, but Lucy was happy to get home and in her own bed. So much so that the 2nd night we were home (last night) she slept through the night!! Woohoo! I'm sure it won't always be like that, but it was nice!
delayed 3mo. pic
Here's Lucy's 3mo. pic a little late. It is so much easier getting her to smile now, its great! Last month we had to act silly and wait like 5min. to get the picture, now, we just smile at her or say something funny and get a bunch of smiles, its great! I think she will be a smiley baby. She was dancing away while we took this picture too, wish we would have gotten a video. Anyway, there you go! I have loved watching her grow so fast, can't wait for whats ahead!

The adventures of Lucy
Most of you know by now that Lucy has become a professional traveler in her short 3 months of life. We are behind on posting, so forgive us, but we've been all over! Two weeks ago my mom flew out to be with us and babysit Lucy, I took the teacher training to become a bradley method instructor! I'm super excited to teach women that they can do natural childbirth and its a wonderful experience!
So we traveled to NY to take the training, it was four intense days, Lucy and grandma got some good bonding time.
In other news, I weighed Lucy last night (on our home scale, so not sure how accurate it is) but she weighed 12.4 lbs. We go to the doc for her 4mo. check up so we will get the real scoop at the end of the month! Can't believe she'll be 4 mo. old!! Check back soon for more updates, we just got back from WI yesterday, so I am up to my eyeballs in laundry, but when its a little more manageable, I'll get right back to blogging!
